Lana and Lori are complete opposites and best friends; most of the time.  The girls are also cousins and spend a lot of time with their grandparents who are teaching them many things about their Lakota heritage.  As their grandmother teaches them the names of the moons of the Lakota calendar, the girls learn new things about each other, their heritage, and about how to survive an unexplainable tragedy.
