Moon Blake is 10 years old when his father dies and leaves him alone in the wilderness home. His father has raised him to be able to live off the land and he has very little knowledge of how the "real" world works. His father's final request was for his son to make it to Alaska, so Moon begins to prepare for his trip. But then the "real" world gets involved and everything changes.
