Milada is living a happy life with her family in Czechoslovakia until Nazi soldiers knock on her door one night and force her entire family to leave their home. Milada is taken to an education center where her name is changed to Eva and she is forced to change her identity to that of a young German woman. Eventually she is adopted by a German family and slowly begins to forget who she was. When the war ends, she has a tough decision to make. Does she remain Eva or try to reconnect with her life as Milada?
